streamline a massive website for a fantastically fun user experience
When an international nonprofit dedicated to using humor to enhance health and human performance asked us to redesign their website, we were beyond excited to get started. We worked closely with them to develop a solution that fit their budget and maximized their ROI. We began by conducting an audit of their existing site and then dramatically streamlined and reorganized it for a better user experience. Next, we created a detailed messaging strategy to attract new members and promote their events and classes. Finally, we developed the site and worked closely with AATH to guide them in writing the copy, which we then edited and polished.
funny is as funny does
Featuring numerous videos, an integrated social feed, and compelling testimonials, the new website offers a dynamic, energetic user experience in keeping with the organization’s brand—a skillful balance of humor and professionalism. Mindful design and layouts alternating plenty of white space with color ensure that the content feels accessible, inviting, and funny. We also crafted powerful SEO to help improve the site’s search rankings, helping them to rank #1 for their most important keywords and search terms.
humor that harnesses the power to connect
With 40% of the organization’s website traffic coming from users on mobile devices, we wanted to create a site that was easy and fun to use on any platform. We carefully parsed out the content in bite-sized pieces to tell the full story of the organization, as well as to drive enrollment in their Certified Humor Professional program, new member applications, and attendance at their annual conference.
we’re convinced: humor helps!
The new website has received praise for its visual appeal as well as an increased number of visitors. We’ve also learned that many of the organization’s members have specifically commented on how much they love the new website and feel it’s a tremendous upgrade, which makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. We love helping businesses and nonprofits alike tell their unique stories and working with the funny folks at AATH was the icing on the cake.
“Smallnormous helped us consolidate 25 pages of content into an engaging and fun 3-page site. They went over and above to troubleshoot and consult. Highly recommend.”
